Today, my 7 year old had to give blood. She went in yesterday and was so scared she was nearly screaming. My wife took her to the hospital today and I thought it might be a challenge. I felt this idea come to me: Sing HU through my daughter.

How that worked out was that I closed my eyes and sang HU, and then imagined I was with my daughter and was singing HU through her. The words going through her, as though they were her words. I imagine her relaxing and being calm. The blood draw goes well.

About an hour goes by and my wife calls me to tell me that the blood draw went well. Our daughter was very calm and was able to handle it perfectly.
