“When people blast the central ideas of other groups, they often don’t know the ideas of their own groups.” This is so true. We can see it in criticisms of religious figures towards other religions.

Fear based religion is brought up as a talking point. Fear based religion is based on controlling the members, “if you stray, if you listen to the false prophet… you will end up in hell.”

The role of the mental plane: in orthodox faiths, like Christianity, they are still caught in duality (heavel/hell, good/evil) and therefore their heaven is in the Mental plane.

When we say “Thy will be done,” we are turning over an issue to the Divine Eck and in this case, we are rising above the Mental Plane.

The True Heaven is the Ocean of Love and Mercy.

How does Eckankar differ from other faiths: Unlike dogma, Eckankar puts more emphasis on personal experience. The outer teachings are only there to get a person the direct inner experience of the Light & Sound of God (or Holy Spirit.)

Listening to others with love and compassion: this is difficult for those stuck in the mental plane where listening is just a prelude to argument and debate.
